The Society for Mind-Matter Research is an international non-profit organization with members from more than 20 countries worldwide
Mission
SMMR supports interdisciplinary research concerning relations between the mental and the material. This includes the subject areas of
- neuroscience, cognitive science, behavioral science
- physical approaches, mathematical modeling, data analysis
- philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, applied metaphysics
- cultural and social studies, history of ideas
Vision
SMMR disseminates knowledge about the implications
of mind-matter research for science, society and culture
in general.
For this purpose, SMMR supports the publication of
mind-matter research in the journal "Mind and Matter".
